The Wrath of 'Con

Right! Well, I'm off to the con for the year. Should be interesting.

Before I go, as I'm undecided about what to cover next, I thought I might leave it up to the readers (for once) and offer you the following: I'm planning two big write-up projects for when I return, and I figured I'd let y'all decide which one I did. Will it be . . .

1) The long-promised Doctor Who week (which will probably go quite awhile past a week, but that's mission creep for you?)

or

2) Another "Whole Damn Thing" review, this time of the legendary cult series The Prisoner?

You make the call!

Ooh, tough call. On the one hand, I've been looking forward to your big Who-palooza... but I can't deny I'm pretty damn curious to see your take on the All-Singing All-Dancing Bug-Ass Crazy Finale of "The Prisoner". Plus, relevance: the remake's starting next Sunday. So I'll vote for "Prisoner". :)

Also: enjoy the con! :)

Thanks! I did, certainly more than I thought I might--time away always helps recharge the batteries. :)

Well, that's one vote for "The Prisoner," and beleive it or not, I actually have my own theory about the finale (which is as valid or not as anyone else's--it's a bit like a 50-minute Rorschach blot) which I'll get to in time. :)

I'm also putting in a good word for The Prisoner. Partly because I think it will be fascinating, but also because I'm sure you have a LOT to say about WHO. That is a "week" that could coceivably run two or three.

Will we be hearing about your con adventures? :)

The whole bloody series is a Rorschach blot. I'm hoping the remake will be a bit more coherent...

We sure will! I can promise at least 20% more write-ups about bizarre custom licence plates this time than last year.

I guess you don't need me to tell you that's totally not what happened with the god-awful remake, yes? :)
